Volunteer Receipts

Flixxaid offers volunteer receipts for 1-2 hours* of community services per post up to a maximum of 10 for content contributors to the platform that create a post with original content in support of a registered nonprofit.

The 1-2 hour(s) of services is an estimated effort, and assumes the following activity for each post:

  • Authoring and storyboarding of the video’s script which may include researching of the nonprofit supported

  • Preparation and Recording of the video

  • Editing of the video

  • Posting and authoring of the description of the video post

  • Marketing and soliciting others to: view the post, donate financially, and donating attention to sponsored advertisements

  • Regularly reviewing and following up on comments or reposts of the video to keep the post’s audience engaged

Ontario Secondary Community Services Hours

Although the final decision on qualifying hours is always up to each Ontario secondary school’s principal. We have received guidance from the Ontario Ministry of Education officers that participation in this program as a contributor of content has the prerequisites to qualify for community service hours.

The activities are not only contributing to the aid of a registered nonprofit organization through raising awareness and funds. But also providing the opportunity for the student to acquire:

  • Research skills and learn more about the related cause

  • Communication and presentation skills

  • Video production skills

  • Online marketing skills

We are estimating 1 hour per post* assuming most or all efforts in the activities listed above were required to create the post. We are limiting to a max of 10 hours per user in order to ensure a variety of activities to achieve their minimum 40 total hours of community service required for their secondary diploma.
